Jan. 2nd, 2009 04:14 pmSorry to say, I love the EVERYONE IS GAY cliche. :( I know a lot of people hate it but, you know what, it's not like anything else at East High is plausible.
Title: The Mandy Thing
Rating: PG
Summary: There's something off about one of the songs in Senior Year, and Kelsi and Ryan can't figure out what it is.
Pairing(s) : Kelsi/Ryan bff fic. Ryan/Chad, Kelsi/Martha.
Word Count: ~6000
Notes: Let's just say that "Just Wanna Be With You" is by far my favorite song in High School Musical 3. It kind of makes me cry. I wanted to write fic about it! I also really like the song "I Wanna Be With You" by Mandy Moore, which has an interestingly similar title. There seems to be an enormous lack of Ryan/Kelsi bff fic, particularly the kind where they are both hugely gay. And although the fic is from Kelsi's POV, I would venture to say that it's equally Ryan/Chad and Kelsi/Martha. Written on a diet of MGM movie musicals, Mandy Moore, and Cyd Charisse dance numbers.
( Not many people knew it, but 'You Are the Music in Me' was the first--and so far only--song Kelsi Nielsen had ever written that really made her feel like she'd accomplished something. )
